Teaching practice


Everybody let see my experience in teaching.
This is real situation in my class room. I taught three topics are Light energy, Sound energy and Heath energy. So, one topic divides in to class per 50 minutes.

Time: 12:00-1:00 ,1:10-2:00
Subject: Science                                                  
Topic: Light energy
the first class I taught topic about Light energy. In my class divide in to two class per one topic. For the first class I taught about sources of light and Student be able to identify properties and characteristics of light. I using instruction media to taught them for example Rainbow camera, Water glass and Mirror to describe about the properties of light. The one strategy that I using in my class is True or False game.
ENGAGEMENT
           - The teacher greets with students and check readiness.
           - The teacher asks question Do you know what is Light?
(Let them try to answer)
          -  The students watch a video about light.
EXPLORATION
          The teacher asks question after watch a video as follows:
-           Where is the sources of light?
(Answer Sun, Candle)
-           What are the object do not product light?
(Answer Table and Pencil)
EXPLANATION
           - The teacher explains and discuss the properties of light by using the material.
          - The teacher gives students has opportunity to ask question.
ELABORATION
- The student learns about the Light through the following activity:
Activity 1.1: True or False
           Give students divide into 5 group /5-6member.
           The Teacher explains how to play game for find the winner group.
           The sentence as follows:
-The mirror it cant reflection.
(Answer False)
-The speed is the  ability of light to travel.
(Answer True)
-The dispersion is ability to break white into different colors such as  rainbow.
(Answer True)
    From the picture is the properties of refraction.
(Answer False)
    From the picture is the properties of speed.
(Answer True)

EVALUATION

          - The teacher assigned homework with all students for checking understanding of students.

Topic: Light energy
For this topic, light energy like last day. I taught by give student doing experiment and record the result in work sheet. To give student get science skills. So, before I starting my class I always ask questions students first for give them think. In this day I really excited because student very interested in my experiment. It that why I feel like have more power to taught them.  

ENGAGEMENT

     ·         The teacher greets with students and check readiness.
     ·       The teacher checks homework and asks students to review prior knowledge.

EXPLORATION 

    ·         The teacher prepares the experiment for today and give activity sheet1 to students.
     ·         The teacher explains the material of experiment and how to record the data in activity sheet1
Equipment
1.        Box 1 (without light.
2.        Box 1 (within light
Method
1.Give students divide in to 2 line.
2.Give students observe 2 box for recording the data.
     ·         Give students start to do experiment one by one.
EXPLANATION
     ·         The teacher concludes the result of experiment.
(The Box 1 without light; We cant see anything because Dont have light
The Box 2 within light; We can see any thing because the object reflects back to your eyes)
     ·         The teacher asks question as follow:
- “what are different between box1 and box 2.
- “What is the benefit of light?
- “If we dont have light what happen

ELABORATION
     ·         Give students analysis activity sheet 1 .To students get new knowledge and sharing the answer to other students.
EVALUATION
The teacher checks understanding of students by using the question as follow:
-           How many types of properties of light?
(Answer 4 types)
-           What are there?
(Answer There Reflection ,Refraction, Dispersion and Speed)

Topic: Sound energy
This is step that I taught my students. I always ask them first to check understanding and connect new topic. For this class I got some problem about time. I can’t management because I used many time to set PowerPoint presentation.

ENGAGEMENT 

  •           The teacher greets with students and check readiness.

What are the sounds that you like?
What are the sounds that you dislike?
(Let them try to answer)
EXPLORATION





  •                The teacher opens the types of sound and give the students matching with the picture sources of sound.

  •              The teacher explains and discuss the properties of Sound.The teacher gives students has opportunity to ask question
ELABORATION


  

The student learns about the sound through the following activity:

  •      The teacher give the 2 volunteer come to in front of the class.
  •      Give the students A people stand in front of the class and B people stand at back of class. The teacher gives the other students be quiet.
  •       The teacher give A people say something and another one just listen.
  •      The teacher asks question to student B. “What sound that you hear? and What do you think the sound clearly or not?
  •          The teacher gives the material to student to try again and ask the same questions.

EVALUATION






  •       The teacher summary again to check understand of student and give the homework to students.
  •           The teacher ask question.

Topic: Sound energy
From last day I got some problem about time. So, I solve problem by don’t used technology. I just used instruction media for give students create the objective that be able to make sound. In this day very noisy but I managed them by I said. “If you want to talk I will listen you but Now I still talk you just listen”. After that all of students know How I feel. Let see step of my teaching.

EXPLORATION






  •        Give the students divide into 5 group /5-6member.
  •       Teacher explains the Experiment for today and gives activity sheet 1 of Sound experiment to every group.
  • Teacher explains about experiment.
Equipment
1.        Bottle 1
2.        Balloon  1
3.        Rubber band 2
4.        Scissors
5.        Tape
6.        Cutter
Methods
1.        Bring bottle to cut the top of bottle and the middle.
2.        Bring 2 piece of bottle to link by use tape.
3.        Then cut the balloon to cover the top of bottle and use rubber band to link between the bottle and balloon.
4.        Using cutter to make a hole and try to blow.
EXPLANATION






  •      The teacher concludes the result of experiment.
  •       The teacher asks question as follow:
From the experimentWhy the bottle has sound?
(Answer because We use wind from mouth to blow and the blow affect to balloon. It can be make sound. So, this experiment according to the property of sound are the speed is the wind from mouth, the frequency is the pitch of blow and the loudness is affect for balloon)

Topic: Heat energy
The last topic. So, In This class I use video about heat to explain student about How heat travel. This topic I used hot water to taught them know about heat. The students will get understand more because I example the object around us. To give student has effective in learning. I manage class by using step as follow:
Presentation
1   .      The teacher reviews the previous topic.
2   .      The teacher shows the picture about heat energy.
3   .      Let a student answer about picture before discussion the topic.
4   .       Ask about how heat energy travel.
Processing Strategy
1  .      Present a video about heat energy.
2  .      The teacher will discuss how heat energy travel by using the material for demonstration and present example.
3  .      Ask students about how we can protect oneself from exposure to excessive heat Let student sharing idea.
Formation Strategy
1  .      Let a student give an example of a heat energy and How we can use heat energy.
2  .      Ask students How we can use heat energy for daily life.
SYNTHESIS
      -  Present picture about How heat travels and let them trying to identify correctly.
    -    Ask the students what did the students learn today?
EVALUATION
     Give Activity sheet to student to identify  how heat travel.

Topic: Heat energy
Last day for teaching I was impressed by the students, most of them in every class were active to asking anything that still confusing their mind. In this class I used science laboratory for make real situation and practice students used equipment in science.








This is My mentor; He name is Prince. He is very kind and guide the way to practice English and how to manage classroom, So he is like a brother because he make me feel more confident and he suggest me all the time. He said to me if you what to do best you just practice more. After I taught he always recommend about How management in class , How to make lesson plan , How to pronunciation. So, I would like to say thank you every commendation I will practice more before I become to a good teacher.
